Classes for Week of May 4 - 9

We have two great classes scheduled for this week.

Labyrinth

This wonderful quilt looks intricate, but is actually easy to make.  The pattern by Calico Carriage Quilt Designs has multiple sizes so you can make a wall hanging (pictured) all the way to a King.  You will just LOVE this quilt!  This class is held Thursday, May 7 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.  Sign up now (there is a little bit of pre-cutting to do).

Doubly Charmed

Start with (88) 5" squares, add a background and an accent color and you will end up with TWO quilt tops!  This is a great scrap quilt and fun to make.   This class uses the Deb Tucker Rulers and Pattern.  The class is held Saturday, May 9, 9:00 am to Noon.  Pre-cutting is also involved in this class.

New Block of the Month

Sister's States
is our NEW Block of the Month.
We will be making twelve blocks for the western United States including Alaska.
These are the Henry Glass fabrics that will be used throughout the year.

Classes are held the third Thursdays (10:30, 11:30, 2:00, 3:00, 6:30 & 7:30)
and the following Saturday (8:30, 9:30, 10:30 & 11:30).  They will start on May 21 & 23.

The cost to start is $10.  If you come to your assigned class WITH your block completed, then your next block kit is FREE! But, if you miss your class, don't have your block completed, come to the wrong class or lose your class ticket; you will have to pay another $10.  :-(  The good news is that you will have a one time use GET OUT OF JAIL FREE card that you can use instead of paying (cannot be used for lost class ticket though).  :-)

Classes are filling up and space is limited, so walk, run, race or call in today!

New Year Resolutions

We would like to thank all of our wonderful customers who came in and spent time with us during the Holidays and for our Open House.  We had a great turn out and if you didn't get here to sign up for classes, some of them still have room in them.  We have added a few new classes that were not on the flier.  T-Shirt Quilts is a 2-Part class that will be held May 12 & 19 from 6 to 9 p.m..  I know that it is a little ways out but this class tends to fill up fast.  We have also opened up another Feathered Star Series.  This one will be held on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting February 27.

Did you know that 85% off all New Year Resolutions that are actually written down are accomplished?  Just writing them down triggers your brain to work on them.  This year I really need to write down a few.  Some of them will be:  Clean my sewing room (I need to not buy another ruler twice), finish at least 4 UFO's (UnFinished prOjects), get my patterns written and published, and start an exercise program (Dr's orders).  I am going to put this list on my mirror, my fridge, my sewing room door and any place else I frequent.  I would like to hear of some of the goals that you are going to (or have) set for 2015.  Also, let me know when you accomplish them.  It is such a great feeling!
