New Block of the Month

Sister's States
is our NEW Block of the Month.
We will be making twelve blocks for the western United States including Alaska.
These are the Henry Glass fabrics that will be used throughout the year.

Classes are held the third Thursdays (10:30, 11:30, 2:00, 3:00, 6:30 & 7:30)
and the following Saturday (8:30, 9:30, 10:30 & 11:30).  They will start on May 21 & 23.

The cost to start is $10.  If you come to your assigned class WITH your block completed, then your next block kit is FREE! But, if you miss your class, don't have your block completed, come to the wrong class or lose your class ticket; you will have to pay another $10.  :-(  The good news is that you will have a one time use GET OUT OF JAIL FREE card that you can use instead of paying (cannot be used for lost class ticket though).  :-)

Classes are filling up and space is limited, so walk, run, race or call in today!

April Mystery Quilt of the Month

As one of our customers stated:  "The April Mystery Quilt of the Month is charming!"  We couldn't agree more.  I fell in love with the Martha Washington Star and just had to make something using it.  The dotted piano key border was perfect for it!  If you missed it, you will have to see the May Fabric.  Don't miss out on this one!  $28.95 pre-paid for each kit.  Most of the time the kits do not include the borders.  Backing and binding are also purchased separately.  Sign up and pay by the end of the day on May 8th, then pick up your kit and see the quilt on or after May 10th.

Jelly Race

On Friday, March 27 from 7 pm to midnight, we held a "Jelly Race".  It was CRAZY FUN!  Each person had a jelly roll and 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" pre-marked rectangles. They sewed a rectangle onto each strip, then ALL the strips went into a large paper bag.  These were pulled out at random and sewn end to end.  Along the way we played games, won prizes and ate dinner.  When midnight came, we announced the winners.  Megan Anderson got the farthest with her quilt.  Rachel O'Brien came in 2nd, Leanna Stauffer came in 3rd.  Can't wait for the next race on September 25th.  Hope to have you join in the fun!

Here are some pictures from previous Jelly Races.
